MSA (MAP Support Australia) is a private peer-support chat community for adults who experience attractions to minors.
Our community exists to provide a space where members can connect with others who understand their experiences, discuss challenges, share perspectives, and support one another while striving to live safe, lawful, and responsible lives.
Our Mission
To ensure that no adult who experiences these attractions has to face them completely alone.
Why We Exist
Many people who experience these attractions feel isolated and have nobody they can talk to openly about what they are going through.
MSA was created to provide a space where members can connect with others who understand their experiences and support one another through the challenges they face.
To understand why we exist, please read our opening reflection: "The 3:30 Commute — Why MSA Exists".

About MSA
Who We Are
MSA (MAP Support Australia) is a private peer-support chat community for adults who experience attractions to minors.
Many people who experience these attractions feel isolated and have nobody they can talk to openly about what they are going through. MSA exists to provide a place where members can connect with others who understand their experiences, share challenges, and support one another.
MSA is primarily intended for adults living in Australia. However, applications from individuals outside Australia may be considered on a case-by-case basis, particularly where they have a genuine connection to Australia or are planning to move to or visit Australia.
We are not an advocacy organisation, mental health service, counselling provider, or treatment program. We are simply a community of people supporting one another.
Why We Exist
Our mission is simple
To ensure that no adult who experiences these attractions has to face them completely alone.

Guidelines & Admission
Requirements, Rules & Joining
To maintain a safe, welcoming, and strictly compliant environment, all applicants must satisfy our entry requirements, review and agree to our community rules, and complete our screening process.
Who Can Join?
MSA welcomes adults who experience attractions to minors, regardless of their personal views or beliefs. Members may hold differing opinions and perspectives. What matters is that all members follow community rules, treat others with respect, and comply with applicable laws.
Will MSA Report Me to the Police?
MSA is a peer-support community, not a law enforcement organisation. We do not report members to police simply for being attracted to minors, participating in the community, discussing their feelings, or seeking support. However, all members are expected to follow community rules and applicable laws.
Requirements
Be 18 years of age or older.
Agree to follow and uphold the MSA Community Rules listed below.
Complete the text-based screening process.
Community Rules
Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in an immediate and permanent ban.
1. Follow the Law
Members must obey all state and federal legislation. Discussions of illegal actions are strictly prohibited.
2. No Illegal Material
We maintain an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward illegal material. Any violation results in an immediate permanent ban.
3. Adults Only
This group is strictly reserved for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
4. Respect Others
Treat all members with respect and kindness. Abuse, harassment, or personal attacks will not be tolerated.
5. Protect Privacy
Anonymity is vital. Do not share external links or personal identifying information about other members.
6. No Encouragement of Harmful Behaviour
Discussions that promote self-harm, harm to others, or offending behaviour are strictly forbidden.
7. Use the Appropriate Rooms
Please keep conversations in the channels most relevant to the topic. Members are encouraged to discuss a variety of subjects beyond support and advice, provided discussions remain appropriate for the room and follow community rules.
8. No Advertising or Recruitment
Do not use the community platform to promote products, services, or recruit members to external groups.
9. Follow Staff Directions
Volunteer staff maintain group safety. Please follow directions immediately and respectfully.
10. Use Common Sense
Engage responsibly, think about how your words affect others, and keep the focus on safe support.
11. No Discussion of Unadjudicated Crimes
Do not admit to or discuss crimes that have not been dealt with through the legal system. Members may discuss their thoughts, feelings, personal challenges, and legal matters that have already been resolved or are currently before the courts.
12. Photos of Minors
Lawful and appropriate photos of minors, including profile pictures, are permitted. Photos containing excessive skin exposure or content considered inappropriate may be removed at staff discretion. Staff may also limit the use of such photos where necessary.
A staff member will send you a small number of screening questions.
3. Receive an Invite
If approved, you'll receive an invitation link to our private community chat rooms.
Membership is not automatic and all applications are reviewed by staff.
